World Vision is one of the largest Christian humanitarian organizations in the the world. One of World Vision’s core missions is to empower local nonprofits to extend their reach and serve communities at a deeper, more personal level.

Judilynn Murphy, a member of our local community, has faithfully served as a World Vision ambassador for several years. There is a very long waitlist of nonprofits hoping to be matched with an ambassador so they can become a partner. She chose The Rock of the Redeemer. Because of that decision, we’ve been given the opportunity to step into partnership with World Vision. This is something many organizations wait years for.

Through this partnership, we will now receive items each month from World Vision’s distribution network—things like clothing, makeup/tolietries, shoes, small appliances, and household goods. These items will go into our soon-to-be renovated Mother Alphonse Marie’s Giving Center, allowing us to serve individuals and families in need in our community and beyond.

This allows us to move from occasional giving to consistent, ongoing support for everyday needs, as well as for families facing unexpected hardships like fire or other catastrophic loss. This partnership continues the mission started by Mother Alphonse Marie and the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer to care for those in need, supporting the vulnerable, and serving with compassion and dignity. We truly believe this is something special, and we’re excited to see how God uses it.
